ICC World Cup 2019: Kent RO Principal Sponsor of Sri Lanka team

Sri Lanka Cricket has announced India’s leading water purifier brand Kent RO as the national team’s Principal Sponsor for the ICC World Cup 2019.

The tie-up marks a first for an Indian brand to sponsor an overseas team at the grand stage of the ICC World Cup, the biggest quadrennial cricket event.

Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to proudly announce the commitment shown by Kent RO Systems Limited of India and MAS Holdings of Sri Lanka to partner ‘Sri Lanka’s Cricket World Cup Campaign’, during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019; which will be held in UK and Wales from May 30 to July 14, 2019, Sri Lanka Cricket has stated in a Press release from Colombo today.

Kent RO Systems Limited of India, a leader in the RO water purifier category, joins in as the ‘National Team Principal Sponsor’, while MAS Holdings, one of the largest apparel and textile manufacturers in South Asia, joins in as the ‘Clothing Partner’ to support Sri Lanka’s Cricket World Cup campaign.

Speaking on the engagement Sri Lanka Cricket has formed with its newest partner, Sri Lanka Cricket president Shammi Silva added, “We are happy to announce our tie up with Kent, which is the newest partner of Sri Lanka Cricket. We would like to thank Kent, a leader in its own sphere of business for coming forward to strengthen Sri Lanka’s Cricket World Cup Campaign.’’

For MAS Holdings’ partnership for the World Cup is a continuation of the brand’s long-term commitment shown to the game of Sri Lanka Cricket.

Sri Lanka will kick start its World Cup Campaign on the June 1, 2019, facing New Zealand at the Cardiff Wales Stadium in Cardiff. The one time World Champions have also featured in two more ICC Cricket World Cup finals, a semi-final and a quarter final; apart from its other cricketing achievements.
